My mom in Florida has been getting more difficult. During the stay in Hawaii we needed to put her into a Geriatric Psychiatric Unit to get her meds adjusted (that was the hope). She was released from the hospital and we could not take her home so she was put into Arden Courts of Manor Care in West Palm Beach, Florida, an assisted living center specializing in people with alzheimers. She has now been there for two months and is adjusting quite well to her new environment and digs. Amazingly she is not using her hearing adis, does not complain about her shoulders or knees hurting her or her arthritis. What is up with that. We visited her for the latter part of Passover and we took her out for three nights. We also put her house up for sale and sold the car.
Roz went to visit her mom after we completed all we needed to for my mom wtih the help of A Time To Move. Her mom is in an independent apartment and is getting frailer medically. She seems to have not so bad moments with her Alzheimers. Her caregiver Kim is so dedicated to Mom.
